Call for Applications: Small Alumni Events 2023
DAAD Nairobi invites former DAAD scholarship holders from the East Africa region who are planning small Alumni activities such as workshops, conferences, or seminars scheduled between mid-April and October 2023 to submit their applications for funding.
What can be funded:
- Events that promote the scientific/ thematic exchange of Alumni
- Seminars that contribute to the professional training of Alumni
- Contributions by Alumni to the preparation of scholarship holders
- Seminars for returning Alumni
Only former scholarship holders of DAAD (having received individual DAAD funding for at least 3 months) can apply for this funding program.
AT LEAST HALF of your event’s participants must be DAAD Alumni to be eligible for funding.
The maximum amount to be applied for: 6.500 EUR per event.
In alignment with the DAAD’s sustainability policy, air travel from outside East Africa cannot be funded. Participants from regions beyond East Africa are encouraged to join virtually. Applications for virtual, physical, and hybrid events can be accepted.
