University-Business-Partnerships programme
We are pleased to inform you that the University-Business-Partnerships programme within the framework of the BMZ’s special initiative “Training and Job Creation” has been advertised for the fifth time since 1 December (funding period 01.06.2023 – 31.12.2026).
A new feature of this call for proposals is that projects are particularly eligible for funding if the contents and formats of their curricula/teaching modules are consistently oriented towards the concept of the “Green Economy” or if they contribute to the promotion of gender equality at the partner university and the empowerment of women in enterprises.
Within the framework of the special initiative as well as the G20 “Compact with Africa Initiative”, preference is given to relevant developing countries, taking into account country-specific clusters.
These are the following:
- Egypt: Industry 4.0, agribusiness, renewable energies, logistics, engineering, sustainable urban development, water management
- Ethiopia: Agribusiness, renewable energies, food processing industry, logistics, engineering, textile industry, water management
- Ivory Coast: Biotechnology, information and communication technology/ technology (incl. renewable energies and energy efficiency), logistics, engineering, water management, agricultural sciences
- Ghana: Agribusiness/food processing industry, waste sector, automotive industry, renewable energies, logistics, engineering, water management, governance/law
- Morocco: Automotive Industry, agro-food Industry, renewable energies, logistics, engineering, water management, information and communication technology
- Rwanda: Economics, renewable energies, logistics, engineering, water management, information and communication technology, creative industry/film, sustainable urban development, mobility concepts (incl. electromobility), economics/statistics, tourism
- Senegal: Agribusiness/food processing industry, information and communication technology/ digital economy, renewable energies, logistics, engineering, water management
- Tunisia: Automotive industry, digital economy, renewable energies, logistics, aviation, engineering, water management, textile, tourism
However, other subject areas may also be considered.
