This programme strongly encourages mobility of Sub-Saharan Africans to study in host institutions within the Eastern Africa region. There are 13 participating host institutions in the Eastern African Region. We strongly recommend applicants to apply to institutions outside their home countries.

Application process and procedures: the call for scholarship applications for intake 2025 is now open.

All interested applicants have to apply via the DAAD portal. Additionally, a separate application must be submitted to the university to be eligible for the scholarship.

The deadline for the DAAD scholarship application is 21^st November 2024. The university application deadline can be after this date, as long as we receive the confirmed list of applicants from the university in January 2025.
